April 19th

Seattle to Taipei.
Leave Seattle at 2.10am on April 20th . Arrive in Taipei at 5.50am on April 21st, 2009. This day is at your own arrangement.

April 20th, Tuesday

Day 1: Arrive in Hochiminh.
Leave Taipei at 9.10am and arrive in Hochiminh at 11.40am (Eva Air #BR 0391). Meet at Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in then is your free time to get basic orientation.

Include: Tour guide (02), Bus 45 seat, Truck for luggage, Hotel, Dinner

April 21st

Day 2: Day trip to Cai Be (7:30AM – 6:30PM)
07:30 am – 10.00am: Transfer to Cai Be.
10.30am – 16.00pm: Cruise to visit floating market, river life, trading between merchant ships and local farmers, see how locals making popcorn, coconut candy, enjoy seasonal fruits…
16h30: Transfer back to Saigon.

April 22nd

Day 3 : Half day tour
AM: Visit to Vietnam War Remnants museum.
PM: Free to explore in small group.

April 23rd

Day 4: Visit Cu Chi tunnels – half day tour
AM: 8:00Am, transfer to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. Exploring how the so – called “The underground city” during the war.
On the way back, we visit Vinh Nghiem pagoda.
PM: Free to explore the city in small groups.

April 24th

Day 5: Saigon – fly to Danang – transfer to Hoi An
AM: Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for Danang destination. Lunch at Apsara restaurant in Danang city. Visit temple in Marble mountain on the way to Hoi An. Check in.

PM: Bike to the beach.

Include: Bus all day, Truck for luggage, Flight tickets, Tour guides (02), Bike renting, Hotel, Breakfast, Lunch

April 25th

Day 6: Hoi An – the first lesson
AM: Divided into 4 groups
Group 1: Tra Que farming village
Group 2: Thanh Nam fishing village.
Group 3: Bamboo lantern making lesson
Group 4: Orphanage.

PM: Group 1 – 3 are free. Group 4 do the cooking lesson at Red Bridge Restaurant.

Note: Lunch are included for group 1 + 4, group 2+3 have lunch at their own expense.

April 26th

Day 7: Hoi An – the second lesson
AM: Divided into 4 groups
Group 2: Tra Que farming village
Group 3: Thanh Nam fishing village

PM: Group 2 – 4 are free. Group 1 do the cooking lesson at Red Bridge Restaurant.

April 27th

Day 8: Hoi An – the third lesson
AM: Divided into 4 groups
Group 3: Tra Que farming village

April 28th

Day 9: Hoi An – the fourth lesson
AM: Divided into 4 groups
Group 4: Tra Que farming village
Group 1: Thanh Nam fishing village

Group 3: Orphanage.

PM: Group 1, 2, 4 are free. Group 3 do the cooking lesson at Red Bridge Restaurant.

April 29th

Day 10: Hoi An – Myson – Hue
AM: 7:00AM, coach trip to My Son. Arrive at 8:15am. Visit the Cham Ruins. Back to Hoi An for lunch.

PM: 13:00 – 16:30PM, transfer to Hue. Stop-over Haivan Pass. Continuing to Hue.

April 30th

Day 11: Hue. Same hotel
AM: 9:00 – 10:30AM, visit the Imperial Palace.
11:00AM – 12:00PM, visit Khai Dinh tomb.

PM: Free to explore city in small groups.

May 1st

Day 12: Hue. Same hotel
AM: Boat trip on Huong river to visit Thien Mu pagoda. Bus pick up from Thien Mu pagoda to visit Tu Duc tomb.

PM: Free to explore city in small. Dong Ba market is recommended.
18:00 -20:00PM, Dragon boat dinner on Purple River 2 boats.

May 2nd

Day 13: Hue – Community service activity.
Robert, you get the address for me.

When I get the address from you I will check if we have time to stop at beach on the way back to Hue in the afternoon or not.

May 3rd

Day 14: Hue – fly to Hanoi
AM: Morning flight to Hanoi. Please check the pen pals activities.

PM: Meet with pen pals at Museum of Ethnology. (?)

May 4th

Day 15: Hochiminh complex – half day
AM: Visit Hochiminh mausoleum, Hochiminh house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature.
PM: Meet pen pals in the old town. (?)

Include: Tour guide (02), Bus half day, Entrance fees, Hotel, Breakfast

May 5th

Day 16: Meditation lesson, Water puppet show
AM: Meditation lesson at Bo De Pagoda
PM: 14:45 – 15:45 cyclo ride to water puppet theater. Puppet show in one hour.
Evening option to meet pen pals again. (?)

Include: Tour guide (02), Bus 45 half day, Puppet tickets, Hotel, Breakfast

May 6th

Day 17: Visit “Hanoi Hilton” & Hoan Kiem lake – night train to Sapa
AM: Visit “Hanoi Hilton” then move to Hoan Kiem lake to visit Ngoc Son temple.
PM: Free time. Night train to Sapa at 21:10.

Include: Bus all day, Tour guide (02), Entrance fees, Train tickets, Breakfast, Dinner

May 7th

Day 18: Arrive in Sapa. Home stay
AM: 5.30 am, coaches transfer to Sapa. Have free time for breakfast and visit Sapa market.

PM: Divide into 4 groups.
Group 1: Transfer to Nongtruong slope, trek about 4hours to Ta Phin village (Red Dao minority), 9km trek
Group 2: Trek about 3 hours to Ta Van village (Zay minority), 9km trek
Group 3: Transfer to Ho slope, trek about 2 hours to Ho village (Tay minority), 5km trek
Group 4: Trek to Cat Cat village (Hmong people), 7km trek.

Include: Tourguides (04), Buses 35 & 16 seats, Van for luggage, Minivan to begin walks, Cooks (04), Homestay, Dinner

May 8th

Day 19: Sapa. Home stay
This whole day is time for you to learn tradition and culture of the locals. Take time to help local people with their housework as well as farming. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with family.

May 9th

Day 20: All groups go to Ho village for swimming. Picnic lunch. Back to Sapa
AM: Say goodbye to families.
Group 1: Van transfer from Ta Phin to Ho village to swim. Picnic lunch nearby Na Ve waterfall. Van transfer back to Sapa.
Group 2: Van transfer from Ta Van to Ho village to swim. Picnic lunch nearby Na Ve waterfall.Van transfer back to Sapa.
Group 4: Van transfer to Ho village. Swim and picnic lunch. Van transfer back to Sapa.

PM: Free time

May 10th

Day 21: Sapa – night train to Hanoi
AM: Free time to visit Sapa.
PM: Free time
18:00 PM, transfer to Lao Cai. Visit Chinese border.
20:10 night train back to Hanoi.

May 11th

Day 22: Arrive in Hanoi – Halong bay, Cruising, Swimming, Cave visit
AM: Arrive at around 5.00am. Transfer to Halong bay. Breakfast on the way.
PM: 12:30 Board private Junk, check-in registration
13:00: Have lunch with welcome wine.
14:00: A fantastic cruise in Halong bay
15:00. Visit to Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, round over Tuan Chau island, or Sung Sot cave. Have a s wim at lovely beaches. A fternoon tea with pastries on the sundeck or in the restaurant and drink before dinner
18h00: Junk cruise anchor by the lagoon
19h00: Enjoy 4 course dinner and overnight on Junk.

Day 23: Halong Bay Cruising, Swimming, Kayaking
08:00: Enjoy breakfast while cruising
09:00 : Free at leisure for swimming.
10:00 : Wonderful kayaking.
12:30 : Enjoy 4 course fresh seafood lunch.
14:00 : More kayaking or visit Ba Ham lake, have a swim at Three peaches beach
16:00 Free leisure for fishing and drinking
18:00 Have dinner and overnight on board.

May 13th

Day 24: Halong bay – Hanoi. Farewell dinner
Rise to the sound of the ocean welcoming another lovely day. We breakfast over sunrise:
07 h30: Junk boat once again sets sail through breathtaking secluded Halong bay
08h00: Enjoy breakfast while cruising
9h00 : Visit Bai tu long Bay , Teapot island , Chopstiks island , Bai tho mountain.
11h00 : Return to Halong city and have lunch on board.
12h00 : Back to Halong wharf and disembark
Transfer back to Hanoi. Arrival Hanoi by 4pm. Drop off at your hotel. Free time.
19:00: Bus transfer for dinner.

May 14th

Day 25: Return
At 9.00am, we transfer to the airport for your flight to Taipei at 12.10. Our tour ends at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi.

Include: Bus 45 seat, Van for luggage, Breakfast.

Tour Cost

Cost: US$ 1605 per person / (Priced on private trip for 37 people) / Free of charge: 2 tour leaders

Note:

The price is for a private tour of 37 people including all services mentioned above.
One 45 seat bus will be provided during the tour. In Sapa, we will use 35 seats or minivan of 16 seats.
Boots and farming equipments in Sapa.
A truck or a minivan will be provided when pick up / drop off at the airport.
We prepare water for you everyday.
Visa, travel insurance, drinks, meals (that are not mentioned in program) and other items of a personal nature are excluded.

2. Refund

Incase of nature diasaters such as: storm, typhoon, landslide, etc that you can not continue the tour, we will refund you the amount of not yet used services.

Cancellation

Cancellation made 60 days before departure will result no charge, later than this will result from 10 – 100 % of the total cost.
45 days prior: 50 % refundable deposit
30 days prior: 100% refundable deposit

4. Travel Insurance:

Please buy your own travel insurance in case of unpredictable accident or injury.

5. Hotel check in and check out times.

Check-in time in all hotel in Vietnam is 14.00PM and check out time is 12.00PM. For late check out from 12.00 to 18.00 we will have to pay a half room-price. After 18.00 is full payment.
