This trip allows students and teachers to enjoy the northern Vietnam highlights within only five days. The trip covers two main attractions of Vietnam including: Hanoi and Halong Bay. This is a short trip for a short school holiday but it still strikes the balance between visiting, relax and fun

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Day 2: Halong Bay (Overnight on deluxe junk cruise)
Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi
Day 4: Hanoi – City tour

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Hanoi (D)

Transfer via: International Flight on your own arrangement Accommodations: Majestic Salute Hotel or equivalent

Upon arrival you will be welcome by our tour leader and transfer to our centrally located hotel in Hanoi. If arrival time is early, welcome dinner will be organized at a fine local restaurant in town. And followed by a tour brief carry out by tour leader

Day 2 Hanoi – Halong Bay (Overnight on deluxe junk cruise) (B, L, D)

Transfer via: private bus Accommodations: Halong Sail cruises – Cabin with bathroom in side and air-condition

At 08:30 we will be picked up at our hotel then transfer to Halong. We will pass the fertile rice paddies fields in the Red river Delta. On the way we will have chance to stop at a humanity center. We arrive at about noon time and we will be warmly welcome by the friendly crew team. After welcome drink and check in procedure, our lunch will be server in the restaurant on cruise while we enjoy fresh local specialty whilst cruising among thousands of lime stone karst islands & islets. Pass by the most breathtaking scenery such as Dog Islet, Incense Burner Islet, Hoa Cuong Floating Village, Fighting Cocks Islet and Thumb Islet. We also have chance to visit one of the most impressive cave in Halong Bay, the Amazing cave with thousand stalagmites and stalactites with many beautiful shape and colors. Then we keep cruising to other side and have a remote watch from boat to Pearl Farm.

Later we return to Titop Island. Make various options for doing sightseeing with opened panoramic view at the peak of the mountain. Going for a walk on sandy beach or swimming in the emerald water surface of the World Heritage Site.

Around 17:30 we will anchor for the night. We have options for kayaking and swimming from the boat or simply enjoy the sunset from top deck.

Tonight we will enjoy our BBQ Dinner at the restaurant. Our night activities would be a wide choices of options such as: fishing, Karaoke or simply just relax

Day 3 Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L, D)

In the early morning at 6.00 o’clock we wake up and enjoy fresh air and breeze from the sea. We can enjoy the sunrise is over Ha long bay and try out some Tai Chi in the early morning.

At 7.00 o’clock our breakfast will be served at the restaurant. After breakfast we will take a sampan to visit Tunnel Cave (Hang Luon) by going through the mountain. Kayaking is available and optional (if booked in advance). After the Tunnel Cave, set sail to have a continuation of cruise, pass by Human Head Islet, Turtle Islet and head to Ha Long pier by cruising in Bai Tu Long bay which is close to the city and gradually become a thriving region. At 10.00 o’clock we will check out and our delicious seafood lunch is served at the restaurant.

At 11:30 we disembark and good bye the crews for our bus journey back to Hanoi. We will be back Hanoi around 16:30, check in our hotel and in the evening we will go our for the unique Water Puppet show and then enjoy our dinner at a fine restaurant in town

Day 4 Hanoi – City tour (B, L, D)

Tour type: Land tour + Private Guided with your own English speaking guide (otherwise specified), your own driver at your own pace and schedule.

Place & Transport: Hanoi

Today’s visit: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Presidential Palace; the Temple of Literature, the Ethnology Museum; West Lake area (Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda), Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake; The Water Puppet show; visit outside Opera House, Hoa Lo Prison; Army Museum

Meals: Lunch at K.O.T.O restaurant. K.O.T.O, founded by Vietnamese Australian Jimmy Pham, is a non-profit organization which is run by local children who Jimmy recruited from the streets. After lunch the group will then visit one of the most interesting museums in Vietnam, the ethnology museum. Manager or staff of the restaurant to have briefing with group and to provide leaflets for students when they have their lunch here.

Morning: Ho Chi Minh Complex: Completed in 1975 the complex contains Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh museum.

The Temple of Literature: Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070. We then take lunch at one of Hanoi’s many fine restaurants.

Afternoon: Westlake area with Tran Quoc Pagoda

Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake: The Ngoc Son temple is set on a tiny island on the Hoan Kiem Lake, its history dating back to the 13th century. Dinner at a fine local Restaurant.

Day 5 Hanoi – Departure (B)

Transfer via: International Flight on your own arrangement

Today our awaiting vehicle will transfer us to the airport for our flight to home.

In the school trip normally we put most of the meals in the itinerary so the teacher or parent can look after their children better. Please be noted that, in some cases we would recommend students having meal at a KFC as they love it. Meals are included as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner.

Breakfast – Each breakfast will be served in your hotel. Breakfast selections include both Vietnamese and Western dishes to meet every diner’s taste.

Lunch – Lunches are normally arranged at the Vietnamese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Vietnamese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners’ tastes.

Dinner- Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Vietnamese food, iExplore Travel suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
