Destination: Quang Tri – Khe Sanh – Dong Hoi A two-day trip to Phong Nha caves and DMZ is a memory for you to visit wonderful caves that is recognized a World Nature Heritage. Let come to there and see the tunnels by yourself to have a deep feeling. Itinerary in briefDay 1: Hue – Quang Tri – Khe Sanh – Overnight in Dong Hoi (L) Day 1: Hue – Quang Tri – Khe Sanh. Overnight in Dong Hoi (L)Am: At 8.00 am, guide and driver pick you up at hotel and transfer to Dong Ha town by car on Highway 1. Arrival Dong Ha town you go on your trip on Ho Chi Minh trail for visiting Dakrong Bridge, the starting point of Highway 15, one of the main branches of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, which leads south to the A Shau valley and the famous “Hamburger Hill”, across over Thanh Han River. Ho Chi Minh Trail is very famous in the war of Vietnam army, so you can admire the green and imposing of forest along this trail. This is an opportunity for you to meet and via ethnic people in the highlight of Viet Nam Central like Ka Tu, Van Kieu, Paco in their villages to know about their customs and ways of living. Then go around visiting Khe Sanh combat base – one of the most famous sieges of American Vietnamese War, and was the site of a United State base that fell under attack in early 1968. You see the old airfield of red dirt stills remain. Enter to the museum of Ta Con airport to see the things in nature of the fierce war, and how hard Quang Tri people fight against the enemy! Reach to the Rock pile described as 230 high-piles of rocks, an observation point of US Troops in the pass. Coming to this place, tourists would see a vast mountain standing on an unequaled position. Have lunch at restaurant in Dong Ha. Pm: In the afternoon, the DMZ tour will take you back to the war sites including Hien Luong bridge, crosses the Ben Hai River at the middle of the DMZ and marks the former border between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1972 where exist Museum, Ben Hai river, the 17th Parallel. Vinh Moc tunnels – a network of tunnels built by villagers seeking shelter from bombings during the Vietnam War, and here is the place where an entire village lived for two and a half years. Visiting these tunnels, you can see and admire the specialty of Vietnamese people in the war, in this complex grew to including wells, kitchens, and rooms for each family and spaces for healthcare. After that, enjoy at Cua Tung beach. Then the driver transfers you to leave Quang Tri for Dong Hoi city. Check into hotel on arrival. The rest of time is your free leisure one on Nhat Le white sandy beach. Free to have your own dinner. Overnight at hotel. Inclusion: Transport, English guide, entrance fees, lunch, hotel & mineral water Day 2: Visit Phong Nha Ke Bang National park. Back to Hue (B L)Am: Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning, guide and driver transfer you to Phong Nha caves, which UNESCO recognized as a World Natural Heritage. Take a boat along Son River pass through river and forest to Phong Nha caves and enjoy the wonderful sights of this caves. You will stop to visit Cung Dinh cave, Tien Cave and Bi Ky Cave with beautiful limestone formations. Back and have lunch at a restaurant. Pm: In the afternoon, you leave Phong Nha for returning Hue city. On the route, you will stopover to visit Quang Tri Citadel, where was the historical place and war vestige of Viet Nam with many mysterious legends and lively evidences containing in interesting stories.
