Tour Overview

At its heart, Siem Reap is still a little charmer, with old French shop-houses, shady tree-lined boulevards and a slow-flowing river. But it is expanding at breakneck speed with new houses and apartments, hotels and resorts sprouting like mushrooms in the surrounding countryside. The tourist tide has arrived and locals are riding the wave. Not only is this great news for the long-suffering Khmers, but it has transformed the town into a pulsating place for visitors. Forget the naysayers who mutter into their beers about Siem Reap in the ‘old days’, now is the time to be here, although you may curse your luck when stuck behind a jam of tour buses on the way back from the temples.

Angkor is a place to be savoured, not rushed, and this is the base to plan your adventures. Still think three days at the temples is enough? Think again with Siem Reap on the doorstep.

Brief description: Most within the baoundaries of the Angkor Archaeological Park near Siem Reap City. The temple sites with the Angkor Archaeological Park represent the ruins of the ancient Angkorian capital cities and include most of the most famous Khmer temples including Angkor Wat and Bayon.

DAY 1: Siem Reap Arrival, Angkor temples (L, D)
DAY 2: Angkor Wat – Small and grand circuit (L, D)
DAY 3: Angkor Temples – Rolous – Tonle Sap boat trip (L)
DAY 4: Departure.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: Siem Reap Arrival, Angkor temples (L, D)

We meet at the airport (or bus station) and transfer to hotel in town and carry on with the excursion to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King Afternoon visit to world-famous Angkor Wat. Watch the impressive sunset from Phnom Bakheng.

DAY 2: Angkor Wat – Small and grand circuit (L, D)

Early morning, we will take an opportunity to view the beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat (optional) and then return to hotel for breakfast. In the same morning, tour to the Small Circuit including Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon, and Chau Say Tevoda. In the afternoon, visit the Grand Circuit including Prasat Kravan, East Mebon, Pre Rup and Preah Khan. Dinner will be served at restaurant with traditional dance show.

DAY 3: Angkor Temples – Rolous – Tonle Sap boat trip (L)

We will take morning visit to Roluos Group including Prasat Preah Ko, Bakong, Lo Lei. In the afternoon, take an appealing boat trip on the Tonle Sap to see the fisherman villages and visit the Siem Reap Market.

DAY 4: Departure

Free at our own leisure until transfer to the airport for departure flight.
